Copywriter for Groupon

It’s always a fun time writing for a company you actually use—which is why I hope to never write for Hal’s Funeral Emporium in Flushing, Queens. (Don’t worry, I made that up...but it does sound real, right?) I loved writing in Groupon’s unique voice. One of my specialties as a writer is crafting friendly, engaging guides that drive readers to explore various businesses. For Groupon, I focused on leveraging their unique marketplace position to spotlight New York’s biggest food trends—ice cream, BBQ, beer gardens—you name it. My goal? To get readers emotionally invested in these deals. And yes, I got emotionally invested in all the ice cream.
